Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year! Multiple roles are available, starting as soon as possible and extending through June 11, 2027. With students beginning classes on September 8th, you'll play a crucial role in shaping learning experiences and fostering growth for learners with varying needs.
This position offers 37.5 hours per week across several locations near Lakeville, MN, and the surrounding area. Since specific assignments have not been finalized, please share your preferred grade levels, caseloads, or settings to help us match you to an ideal fit. Your input on preferred schools or age groups is highly valued.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education is required.
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in school settings is desirable.
- Ability to adapt instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and IEP goals.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Applicants with previous placements should not have had conflicts or negative employment histories with the district.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for assigned students.
- Work collaboratively with general educators, support staff, and families to ensure student success.
- Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
- Track progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
- Use evidence-based teaching strategies to support a wide range of learning challenges.
