This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher skilled in various settings within K-12 education, located in the Lakeville, MN area. The position involves providing on-site instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs across multiple specialized programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students in settings ranging from autism support to developmental cognitive disabilities and early childhood special education.
- Manage caseloads varying from small groups (4-6 students) to larger groups (15-19 students) depending on the assignment.
- Provide homebound educational services to students unable to attend school regularly.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Maintain accurate records and submit required documentation to district resources as per guidelines.
- Adapt teaching methodologies to meet student-specific goals within inclusive and specialized classroom environments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license with appropriate special education endorsement.
- Experience in delivering services to students with autism, developmental cognitive disabilities, and early childhood special education.
- Ability to work effectively with children across multiple grade levels within K-12 schools.
- Strong organizational skills to manage diverse caseloads and coordinate services across various school locations.
- Commitment to inclusive education and individualized student support.
Position Details:
- Duration: Current School Year (ASAP to June 11, 2026)
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Location: On-site positions across multiple schools in the broader St. Paul, MN area, with caseloads assigned by school/program type.
