Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students across a spectrum of grade levels as a Special Education Teacher. This contract opportunity allows you to work alongside dedicated education professionals to foster inclusive and effective learning environments. Drawing on your expertise in differentiated instruction, you will play a central role in empowering students from Pre-K through 12th gradeincluding early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school levelsfocusing on Math and personalized academic support.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience with multiple grade levels, ranging from early childhood through high school
  • In-depth knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Proven ability to modify curriculum and instruction for diverse learners
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Capacity to create supportive, structured, and engaging classroom environments
  • Background in teaching math at various grade levels preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized instruction and support to students with varying abilities and needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Adapt lesson plans, mainly in Math, to meet unique learning styles and requirements
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Use data to track student growth, set goals, and inform instructional decisions
  • Foster a classroom community that values inclusivity, respect, and student achievement
  • Provide progress updates and participate in team meetings to enhance student outcomes
