Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Valid Special Education (SPED) license in the state of Wisconsin
- Previous professional experience in a school setting, preferably with elementary-aged students
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students, families, and colleagues effectively
- Dedication to providing inclusive, differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to participate in team meetings, planning, and intervention strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to K-5 students according to their unique IEP goals
- Assess students abilities and progress, adjusting strategies and supports as needed
- Work in partnership with general education teachers and support staff to ensure classroom success
- Maintain accurate documentation for student records, progress notes, and parent communications
- Collaborate regularly with families, school specialists, and administration to foster student growth
- Uphold a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom culture throughout the 7-hour school day (including a half-hour unpaid lunch)
