Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Valid Special Education (SPED) license in the state of Wisconsin
• Previous professional experience in a school setting, preferably with elementary-aged students
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students, families, and colleagues effectively
• Dedication to providing inclusive, differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to participate in team meetings, planning, and intervention strategies

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to K-5 students according to their unique IEP goals
• Assess students abilities and progress, adjusting strategies and supports as needed
• Work in partnership with general education teachers and support staff to ensure classroom success
• Maintain accurate documentation for student records, progress notes, and parent communications
• Collaborate regularly with families, school specialists, and administration to foster student growth
• Uphold a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom culture throughout the 7-hour school day (including a half-hour unpaid lunch)
