You will work closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to manage behavioral and mental health needs, delivering meaningful interventions and tailored educational experiences.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification with a Cognitive Impairment (CI) endorsementCI certification required
- Experience or strong interest in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Proven ability to implement behavior management strategies and provide mental health support
- Passion for individualized instruction and positive behavioral approaches
- Excellent collaboration skills for working within a full team model
- Strong organizational skills and a compassionate communication style
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and interventions for one student, aged 8 or 9, focusing on cognitive and behavioral growth
- Collaborate with educational specialists, aides, therapists, and families to develop and implement student-centered plans
- Monitor progress, proactively adjust supports, and document outcomes
- Apply effective de-escalation, behavioral, and mental health techniques to foster a positive learning environment
- Participate fully onsite at the Ed Tech Center during designated hours (7:30am 2:45pm)
