Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Prior classroom experience, preferably with middle or junior high school students
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Experience designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for enhancing students life skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction focused on life skills, functional academics, and social development for students with special needs
• Modify curriculum, adapt materials, and use evidence-based strategies to meet diverse learner goals
• Assess student progress regularly and update IEPs collaboratively with staff and families
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that supports every learner
• Guide and mentor paraprofessionals while maintaining consistent communication with support staff and administration
