Special Education Teacher | Early Childhood Caseload | Lake City, SC
A school district in Lake City, South Carolina is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will support an elementary caseload , making it an excellent opportunity for educators who enjoy working with young learners and helping them build a strong foundation for future academic success.
Assignment Details
- School Year: August 10, 2026 May 21, 2027
- Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:15 AM - 2:45 PM
- Caseload: Elementary School
- Onsite Position
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum and classroom materials to support diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, administrators, and families
- Track student progress and maintain required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Foster a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
- Support students' academic, social, behavioral, and developmental growth
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina Special Education Teaching License required
- Must be licensed in the State of South Carolina at the time of application
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Ability to work effectively with early childhood students and educational teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
