Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Position Type: Full Time Contract (W2)
Caseload: Life Skills Program
Sunbelt is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for a local school district for the remainder of the current year, and the upcoming 26/27 school year.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Current PA Teaching Certification for Special Education
- Previous experience with self-contained programs preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific needs and abilities.
- Adapt lessons and teach various subjects to students with mild to severe disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success and inclusion.
- Monitor student progress, assess developmental levels, and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that supports emotional and academic growth.
