Collaboration with families and support staff is essential to ensure that each student receives optimal guidance and care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Texas Special Education Teaching license
- Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring
- Skilled in adapting curricula and instructional strategies to meet unique student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to each students IEP
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment focused on growth and independence
- Track progress and adjust instruction based on student data and IEP requirements
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Contribute to ongoing IEP meetings and parent communications
