This role offers a variety of placements within elementary school settings near La Place, LA, with opportunities to teach in inclusion, resource, and self-contained classrooms for different age groups.

Your work will make a significant impact in the lives of students grades 2 through 6, as well as those in early childhood special education (ages 35). You'll work closely with other special educators, support staff, and school leadership to provide an optimal learning experience for every child. The school district will provide appropriate supervision and assistance as needed in the classroom.

What were seeking:

• Current LA SPED teaching license required
• Experience teaching special education in elementary settings
• Ability to manage and adapt to a varied caseload (inclusion and self-contained classrooms, ages 3-12)
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach with team members
• Comfort with virtual interview processes
• Commitment to the contract period from now through June 2027
• Child-centered, compassionate, and adaptable teaching style

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering IEP-driven instruction in both inclusion and self-contained settings
• Case management and accurate, timely documentation
• Collaborating with related service providers, support staff, and families
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies as needed
• Fostering a positive, supportive classroom environment
