Step into a rewarding role as a Special Education Teacher and Case Manager, working with 6th to 8th grade students in a dynamic school environment near La Madera, NM. In this full-time contract position, youll make an incredible impact by fostering growth and learning for a manageable caseload of approximately 12 students. Your workweek runs Monday through Thursday, 7:45am to 4:15pm, giving you a highly desirable four-day schedule.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement (or eligibility)
• Experience leading instruction and providing case management for middle school students
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Compassionate, flexible approach to meeting diverse student needs
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and colleagues
• Proficiency in special education documentation and legal compliance

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction that meets IEP goals, adapting methods to enhance student engagement and success
• Serve as case manager for your assigned students, maintaining accurate records and communicating regularly with guardians and staff
• Conduct assessments and interpret results to guide IEP planning and instructional decisions
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related support providers to ensure student inclusion and support
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing insights and advocating for student needs
• Foster a supportive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
