An experienced Special Education Teacher is sought for a contract position serving children between the ages of 3-5 with a variety of support needs, including those who are non-verbal or have limited verbal skills and require assistance with daily routines. Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate, including both Special and General Education endorsements for Pre-K age groups
• Experience working with young children in a special education setting, especially those who are non-verbal or exhibit challenging behaviors
• Comfortable and skilled with providing hands-on assistance, including toilet training, diapering, and feeding
• Patience, flexibility, and a collaborative mindset to adapt to the unique needs of each student
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, support staff, and fellow educators

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support tailored to each childs educational and developmental plan
• Assist students with activities of daily living, including toilet training and mealtime routines
• Implement strategies to encourage communication and positive behavior in a nurturing environment
• Maintain a safe, engaging classroom where all students feel included and supported
• Collaborate closely with support staff to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with families on student growth
