Make an impact working with high school students in a skills-based learning support classroom as a Special Education Teacher. This full-time, contract position is geared toward passionate educators who thrive in collaborative settings and are dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification for K-12
• Bachelors degree in Education or related field
• Previous experience working with high school students is a plus, but not required
• Strong communication skills with an empathetic and patient approach
• Ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to students individual learning plans
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages personal growth and life skills development
• Develop and modify lesson plans based on student progress, goals, and IEP requirements
• Track student achievement and maintain accurate records for monitoring progress and compliance
• Work closely with general education teachers and other specialists to ensure students receive comprehensive support
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable input for student planning
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and classroom activities
