Qualifications:
- Active special education teaching license issued in Michigan (required)
- Experience working in any of the following settings: elementary, middle, or high school
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt instruction for individual student needs
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities to collaborate with families, colleagues, and support staff
- Positive, proactive attitude and commitment to student success
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique abilities and goals
- Employ differentiated instruction and adaptive techniques to foster learning and engagement
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administration to ensure coordinated support for students
- Track and report on student progress, making adjustments to instructional plans as needed
- Cultivate an inclusive, respectful classroom environment that celebrates student diversity
