Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current teaching certification with Special Education endorsement
- Experience providing instruction to students from Early Childhood through Grade 12
- Expertise in delivering differentiated instruction, including math, to students with diverse learning needs
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
- Flexibility to adapt to multiple grade levels, including Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle, and High School settings
- Commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning atmosphere
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students strengths and needs
- Use evidence-based strategies to teach academic content, including math, in both one-on-one and group settings
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches to ensure growth
- Maintain accurate documentation of student achievement, attendance, and communication
- Serve as an advocate for students with special needs, partnering closely with parents and multidisciplinary teams
- Promote positive behavior support and social-emotional learning in the classroom
- Participate in school-based meetings, professional development, and IEP conferences
