Job Description

This position aligns with the 2026-2027 academic calendar and involves working between 35 and 37.5 hours per week. Openings include nine elementary, three middle, two high school, and two preschool classrooms. Class environments range from moderate and multi-categorical self-contained models to co-taught and resource rooms, offering dynamic teaching experiences.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Hold an active South Carolina Special Education Teacher license (Multi-categorical or related certification required)
  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in resource, co-taught, or self-contained classroom instruction
  • Adaptability across grade levels and settings (elementary, middle, high school, or preschool)
  • Commitment to ensuring an inclusive, supportive educational experience for all learners
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with team members and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to students with a range of abilities and learning needs
  • Implement IEPs and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
  • Foster a positive, structured classroom environment
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans to accommodate varied learning styles
  • Participate in regular school hours, with schedules defined for each school level
  • Maintain clear, ongoing documentation and communication
