Make an impact supporting elementary or middle school students as a Special Education Teacher in a full-time contract role. This opportunity, set near the Kenosha, WI area, offers the chance to collaborate with a dedicated team and foster growth for students in a cross-categorical setting. The position runs from September 1 through June 4, aligning with the academic calendar.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Valid Wisconsin Special Education Cross Categorical #801 license, or another appropriate special education license
- Previous experience working with elementary or middle school students preferred
- Strong understanding of cross-categorical program needs and strategies
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IEPs in alignment with state standards
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students in elementary or middle school in a cross-categorical setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
- Engage and communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for support
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all state and federal compliance requirements
This full-time position consists of 37.5 hours per week and may involve supporting one or more school buildings. Youll play a pivotal role in cultivating an inclusive, supportive learning environment and empowering students to achieve their greatest potential.
