Step into a meaningful role supporting students with diverse learning needs in a contract Special Education teaching assignment. Start as soon as possible and continue through late May, working a consistent weekday schedule with 35 hours per week (seven-hour days plus a daily 30-minute unpaid lunch).

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education Certification with Special Education (SPED) endorsement (required)
• Immediate availability candidates must currently hold the required certification, out-of-state or in-process licenses not accepted
• Successful completion of mandatory district-specific credentialing, including drug screening and fingerprinting
• Strong commitment to tailored instruction, adaptability, and student advocacy

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction based on each students IEP and needs
• Maintain effective communication with students, staff, and families
• Adapt teaching strategies and materials to engage students at various ability levels
• Act as an advocate for students with special needs, supporting positive, inclusive learning environments
