Job Description
This full-time, contract position is for a Special Education Teacher to provide one-on-one support to students in a K-12 school setting located in Kenner, LA. The assignment runs from ASAP through the end of the school year on May 22, 2026, with work hours of 7 hours per day, Monday through Friday, following the school calendar.
Responsibilities include delivering individualized special education services to assigned students in a 1:1 setting, developing and implementing tailored instructional plans, and collaborating closely with school staff to support each student's educational progress.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certificate in Special Education (current and valid, not expired or in renewal)
- Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings, preferably providing 1:1 support
- Ability to meet district requirements including drug screening and fingerprinting
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage individualized student caseloads effectively
Location:
- Kenner, Louisiana within a K-12 school environment
Additional details:
- Full-time schedule: 35 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch daily
- Contract placement through the school year (CSY)
- Caseload to be assigned, focusing on individualized 1:1 student support
