In this rewarding contract opportunity, you will play a vital role supporting elementary students with diverse learning needs throughout the school year, with service needed as soon as possible through June 11, 2027. Working on-site, you will collaborate with a collaborative team to deliver individualized support in special education, ensuring each child reaches their highest potential in an inclusive setting.
Key Requirements and Desired Experience:
- Hold valid Washington State certification as a Special Education Teacher.
- Demonstrated experience teaching students with various disabilities at the elementary level.
- Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, with a 7.5-hour workday.
- Strong collaboration skills, ready to partner with general education teachers and support staff.
- Flexible approach to instruction, adapting lesson plans and IEPs based on each students needs.
- Excellent communication and rapport-building abilities with students, families, and colleagues.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to a range of disabilities.
- Provide direct instruction and academic support to elementary-aged students in a classroom setting.
- Track student progress, update records, and communicate results to families and school teams.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students.
- Work closely with related service providers to address all areas of student development.
This is a full-time, onsite contract role offering the chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of students and families. Interviews will be conducted promptly, with in-person options preferred; remote interviews may be available.
