The program serves a diverse range of students with mild-to-moderate disabilitiesincluding learning disabilities, emotional behavior disorders, and mild intellectual disabilitiestogether in one inclusive environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education certification (License #2801) required
- Extensive experience supporting students on the autism spectrum
- Skilled in differentiated instruction and classroom management strategies tailored to diverse abilities
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff, families, and support personnel
- Motivated to foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment
Primary Duties:
- Plan and deliver specialized instruction for high school students with a range of mild to moderate disabilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Modify and adapt curriculum, behavioral interventions, and classroom activities to address the needs of students with diverse exceptionalities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, related service providers, and administrators
- Engage families in the educational process and communicate student progress regularly
- Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and other professional activities as required
