This travel contract runs from August 16, 2026, through May 21, 2027, placing you alongside dedicated educators serving varied caseloads and grade levels. Youll build your expertise as you work with both elementary students in self-contained settings, focusing on essential skills, and middle/high school students with resource and co-teaching requirements. Exposure to different instructional approaches and district leadership styles will help you grow as a seasoned special educator.

Qualifications:

  • Fully licensed as a Special Education Teacher in Missouri (or fully licensed in another state with pending Missouri licensure)
  • Previous experience in special education, preferably with elementary and/or secondary students
  • Adaptable and collaborative, willing to thrive in diverse school environments
  • No virtual work permitted; on-site only

Responsibilities:

  • Manage either elementary self-contained caseloads (essential skills/low functioning) or middle/high school resource and co-teaching assignments
  • Collaborate closely with district staff and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Foster student success through differentiated instruction and support strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress regularly
