We have full-time opportunities available for qualified Special Education Teachers for the full school year. Positions include either an elementary self-contained classroom or a middle/high school resource co-teaching setting. This contract opportunity allows you to make a difference in students lives while collaborating with supportive school leaders and colleagues.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Missouri Special Education Teacher license preferred
- Will consider candidates with pending Missouri licensure if fully licensed in another state
- Previous experience teaching students with a range of learning needs is advantageous
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to creating inclusive and engaging learning experiences
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students individually or in small groups, adapting lessons to meet each childs unique needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support students IEP goals
- Maintain accurate documentation, student records, and progress reports
- Foster a positive and structured classroom environment
- Engage families and caregivers in supporting their childs education
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and professional development as required
