Schedule: Full-Time | School Hours
Were seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to lead a Structured Learning Classroom (SLC) in Kansas City, KS. What Youll Do
- Lead instruction in a Structured Learning Classroom (SLC) serving students with significant academic and behavioral needs
- Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide differentiated, data-driven instruction aligned with student goals
- Utilize positive behavior supports and structured classroom systems to promote engagement and success
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and district staff
- Collect and analyze student data to guide instructional and behavioral planning
- Maintain a safe, consistent, and highly structured learning environment
What Were Looking For
- Active Kansas Special Education Teaching License (required)
- Experience in self-contained, behavioral, or structured learning environments preferred
- Strong classroom management and de-escalation skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction for a wide range of learner needs
- Collaborative, flexible, and student-centered approach
