Exciting contract opportunities for credentialed Special Education Teachers are available across a range of K12 settings. These roles support diverse student populations in both resource and self-contained classrooms, including life skills, medically fragile, autism, and structured learning environments. Multiple positions are open, with caseloads varying from 8 to 18 students, ensuring a manageable and impactful teaching experience. Assignments begin ASAP and extend through May 2026, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference over multiple academic years.
What Were Looking For:
- Active Kansas teaching license in Special Education (must verify at time of hire)
- Previous experience with K12 students preferred, especially in life skills, autism, SLC, or medically fragile classrooms
- Adaptability to teach in resource or self-contained environments
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Dedication to fostering inclusion, growth, and academic achievement for all students
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective individual education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with general educators, support staff, and families to ensure academic and behavioral goals
- Foster a positive, structured, and compassionate classroom environment
- Ensure documentation and compliance are up to standards
- Participate in professional development and school meetings throughout the contract
