Job Description
This full-time Special Education Teacher position is based onsite in Kalamazoo, MI, serving an elementary caseload. The role requires a commitment of 35 hours per week within a school setting under a contract arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of elementary students with disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to ensure educational goals are met
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Special Education (SPED) teaching license
- Certification with either a Compliance Indicator (CI) or Autism Intervention (AI) endorsement
- Experience working in elementary special education preferred
