Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Valid South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) teaching license in a special education area (e.g., Learning Disabilities, Multi-categorical, Emotional Disabilities)
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Passion and commitment to working with students with varying needs
- Professionalism and adaptability to follow school policies and calendar
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to address individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Assess student progress and modify teaching strategies to maximize learning outcomes
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate records, complete required documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
