Job Description

This travel position offers an excellent opportunity to work as a Special Education Teacher specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder for grades K-3. The role is located in the Joliet, IL area and spans the 2026-2027 school year with a 35-hour work week.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, collaborating with classroom teachers and support staff, and adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of each student. You will play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and social development of young learners.

Key qualifications for this role:

  • Valid Professional Educators License (PEL) for Illinois schools issued by ISBE
  • Experience working with students on the Autism Spectrum, particularly in early childhood education (K-3rd grade)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with education teams and families
