Qualifications:
- Active Professional Educators License (PEL) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
- Experience or strong interest in working with students on the Autism Spectrum
- Dedication to providing individualized instruction and a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, families, and support teams
- Ability to adapt to varying student needs and implement a variety of instructional strategies
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based instruction and interventions tailored to learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Design and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Use assessment data to inform instruction and monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings and professional development activities
