Job Description
A full-time School Psychologist position is available in a high school setting, focusing on resource and inclusion programs. This role requires a dedicated professional with a valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher certification to support students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychological assessments to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and staff to implement support strategies
- Providing counseling and guidance to students within the special education program
- Maintaining detailed records and managing a caseload of high school students
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure compliance with educational standards
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher certification is mandatory
- Experience working with high school-aged students in resource and inclusion settings
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary educational environment
