What you bring:

• Current and active New Jersey special education teaching license (required)
• Experience with elementary, middle, or high school students in a special education setting
• Flexibility and willingness to work with various caseloads

• Ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement effective interventions

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet each students needs
• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction in a supportive classroom atmosphere
• Assess student progress, keeping detailed records and communicating results to families and staff
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to goal setting, progress monitoring, and compliance documentation
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Provide support to students emotionally, socially, and academically
