Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a rewarding contract position. This onsite opportunity is located in the vibrant Jersey City, NJ area and offers collaboration across four elementary locations with diverse, eager learners.
You'll engage with a manageable caseload of 30-40 students, delivering tailored instruction and contributing to evaluations that help shape individualized educational plans. Working onsite full time from 8am to 4pm, youll be part of a dedicated group, positively impacting the school community and building essential skills for students.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate (NJ Teaching Cert)
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly at the elementary level
- Proven ability to manage caseloads with diverse student needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Flexibility navigating multiple school locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to elementary students across four locations
- Conduct student evaluations and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt curriculum to meet individualized learning goals
- Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and families to optimize student success
- Track progress and maintain accurate documentation

Compensation for this position ranges from $35.00 to $50.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
