Job Description
This Special Education Teacher position offers an opportunity to work with middle school students in a specialized and supportive educational environment. The role focuses on serving 7th-grade students and requires expertise in special education instruction tailored to individual needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education (SPED) certification
- Severe endorsement for working with students with significant disabilities
- Experience teaching middle school age groups preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, parents, and staff effectively
Location and Schedule:
- Position located in Holden, MA
- Full-time commitment: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring special education services
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate records and participate in regular meetings with educational teams and families
