Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials in the state
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field
- Previous experience working with students who have mild to moderate learning disabilities
- Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Adaptability and creativity in modifying curriculum and instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective instructional strategies tailored to students unique learning needs
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
- Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to promote success
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to foster student growth
- Prepare and participate in IEP meetings, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
- Provide direct support, accommodations, and differentiated instruction for students in both group and one-on-one settings
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for success
