Job Description

A special education teaching opportunity is available for the Extended School Year (ESY) session in Estes Park, Colorado. This part-time role runs from June 1 to June 25, 2026, offering approximately 14 hours per week. The schedule consists of half-day shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. This position focuses on supporting students with special needs during the summer months, providing vital educational continuity.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider (CDE SSP) license required
  • Previous experience as a special education teacher preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a structured ESY environment with diverse student needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with school teams and supervisors

Location:

  • Estes Park, Colorado
  • On-site teaching assignment with the Estes Park School District

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction aligned with students IEP goals during ESY
  • Collaborate with district personnel and supervisors to ensure compliance with educational standards
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed within the defined ESY timeframe
  • Participate in interviews via Zoom panel format; prompt hiring decisions can be expected on the same day
