Step into a meaningful opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting Extended School Year (ESY) students. This contract, part-time position is set in a scenic community near Jamestown, CO, and focuses on making a difference for elementary-aged learners during their summer session. Youll work on-site, teaching half-day classes from 8:30 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday, from June 1 to June 25, 2026perfect for educators seeking summertime flexibility.

What were looking for:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider (CDE SSP) license
• Previous experience teaching students with diverse learning needs, particularly at the elementary level
• Strong communication abilities and collaborative spirit to work seamlessly with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging classroom environment
• Flexibility and adaptability during short-term assignments
• Ability to participate in panel-style interviews conducted via Zoom

What youll do:

• Provide specialized instruction to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in coordination with school support staff
• Implement differentiated teaching strategies and maintain up-to-date documentation on student progress
• Engage with parents and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support during ESY
• Deliver instruction in-person, following program schedules and guidelines
• Participate in onboarding processes and required background checks before your start date
