Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field required
• Valid state Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with K-12 students in resource, inclusion, or self-contained classroom settings
• Ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and monitor progress
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Flexibility, creativity, and a commitment to differentiated instruction
• Familiarity with assistive technology and evidence-based instructional strategies preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction tailored to students individual learning needs
• Develop, write, and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Partner with classroom teachers and support staff to deliver effective co-teaching and inclusion practices
• Create a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement
• Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and communicate effectively with families
• Attend IEP and staff meetings as required, contributing insights and recommendations
• Adapt materials and methods to meet varying student abilities and needs
• Participate in ongoing professional development relevant to special education
