Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (state-specific or reciprocal eligibility)
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing IEPs for students with diverse needs
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families
- Knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies for various learning abilities
- Comfortable adapting to different teaching models, whether in-person or virtual, as needed
- Compassion, patience, and flexibility in responding to students individual challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, modify, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals
- Deliver instruction using diverse approaches to meet students academic, behavioral, and social/emotional needs
- Collaborate with school staff, related service providers, and families to support each students success
- Monitor and document student progress, making effective adjustments to instruction as required
- Maintain organized records aligned with all district, state, and federal compliance requirements
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages growth and independence
