This contract opportunity will allow you to provide essential guidance and support to students with diverse learning needs in an elementary school setting. Key Qualifications:
- Active Florida ESE certification required
- General Education certification in K-6 or PK-3 required
- Proven experience leading a self-contained special education classroom
- Comprehensive understanding of exceptionalities and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Successful completion of Florida school district fingerprinting and background check (AHCA Clearinghouse verification preferred)
- Willingness to complete a virtual prescreen interview to assess fit for the role
Responsibilities:
- Serve as lead teacher in a self-contained ESE classroom with varying learning levels
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each students unique strengths and areas for growth
- Collaborate with families, related service providers, and school teams to ensure a supportive learning environment
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere where all students feel valued, encouraged, and challenged
- Maintain accurate records and progress documentation in accordance with district and state requirements

- Contract position with a consistent 35-hour workweek (7 hours daily)
- Assignment at one site for the full contract term, making it easy to build strong relationships with students and staff
