Key Qualifications:

• Active Florida ESE certification required
• General Education certification in K-6 or PK-3 required
• Proven experience leading a self-contained special education classroom
• Comprehensive understanding of exceptionalities and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Successful completion of Florida school district fingerprinting and background check (AHCA Clearinghouse verification preferred)
• Willingness to complete a virtual prescreen interview to assess fit for the role

Responsibilities:

• Serve as lead teacher in a self-contained ESE classroom with varying learning levels
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each students unique strengths and areas for growth
• Collaborate with families, related service providers, and school teams to ensure a supportive learning environment
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere where all students feel valued, encouraged, and challenged
• Maintain accurate records and progress documentation in accordance with district and state requirements

• Contract position with a consistent 35-hour workweek (7 hours daily)
