Key qualifications were looking for:

  • Active New Jersey Special Education Teacher certification is preferred
  • Strong background working with elementary-aged children, ideally in resource or inclusive classrooms
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and staff
  • Knowledge of best practices in behavior management, individualized instruction, and IEP implementation
  • A dedicated, flexible approach and passion for student-centered teaching

In your daily responsibilities, you will:

  • Support 1st grade students in an in-class resource room, modifying curriculum and instruction to meet individual needs
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers to ensure cohesive learning experiences for all students
  • Monitor student progress, adapt strategies as necessary, and contribute to ongoing IEP meetings
  • Foster a nurturing environment where students feel safe, respected, and motivated to succeed

Youll work at a single campus, allowing you to build strong relationships with your students and colleagues. The position begins August 29th and concludes November 6th, and you will interview via Zoom with quick turnaround times for decisions. School onboarding processes, including any required clearances, will be completed before the start date with guidance provided at every step.
