An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to provide dedicated support to K-12 students in a school setting located in Jackson, MI. This full-time, onsite contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, offering a meaningful role within a dynamic educational environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction tailored to the individual learning needs of students with disabilities across grades K-12
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitoring student progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly
- Communicating effectively with parents, school staff, and administration to ensure student success
- Maintaining accurate records and adhering to all state and district special education regulations
Qualifications and requirements:
- Valid Michigan Special Education Teaching license required
- Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs in inclusive or specialized settings is preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and instructional techniques
- Ability to manage a full caseload of students and collaborate with school personnel
