A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available at a middle school in Winnsboro, SC, serving approximately 16 students. This position focuses on supporting middle school students with special education needs within the Midlands STEM Institute district. The role offers direct interaction with a dedicated caseload and collaboration across disciplines to enhance student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized special education instruction tailored to middle school students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state guidelines.
- Collaborate with paraeducators, RBTs, and nursing staff provided by the district for student support and supervision.
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate effectively with families and school personnel.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching license required.
- Proven experience working with middle school-aged students in special education settings.
- Strong knowledge of instructional strategies, behavioral interventions, and compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Ability to work onsite and engage with staff and students in a school environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
