Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Endorsement in Learning Disabilities or Multicategorical Special Education
- Experience tailoring instruction to individual student needs, particularly those with learning and emotional disabilities
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and collaborative skills
- Commitment to cultivating inclusive learning environments and supporting diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to address students unique goals and needs
- Deliver instruction in both resource and self-contained settings, across elementary, middle, and high school grades
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to facilitate student learning and growth
- Adapt lessons and use evidence-based strategies to promote student engagement and progress
- Regularly monitor, document, and communicate student progress with parents and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain compliance with all documentation and state/district requirements
