Job Description
Make a powerful impact as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students across elementary, middle, and high school levels in a welcoming educational setting. This rewarding, onsite contract offers full-time hours (3540 per week) throughout the academic year, beginning August 7th, 2024 and concluding May 28th, 2025.
Openings are available in both resource and self-contained classrooms, working with students in Learning Disabilities and Emotional Disabilities programs. Daily schedules align with standard school hourselementary (7:00 am 2:30 pm), middle school (8:00 am 3:00 pm), and high school (8:00 am 3:30 pm). Youll have the chance to provide meaningful instruction, guidance, and advocacy for your assigned caseload, helping shape positive educational outcomes for each learner.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education (SPED) License
- Teaching certificate with endorsement in Learning Disabilities or Multi-categorical Special Education
- Experience working in schools with students requiring resource or self-contained classroom support
- Dedication to fostering inclusive and supportive environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct instruction tailored to each students unique needs and learning style
- Collaborate with families, general education staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Create a compassionate, structured classroom environment
