This position is uniquely structured to accommodate both your professional aspirations and personal commitments, with a morning schedule totaling 20 hours per weekoffering excellent work-life balance.
As a valued educator, youll work directly with 19 students on your caseload at the high school level, collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to deliver tailored instruction and ensure every learners success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (applicable to high school level)
- Prior experience working with high school students in a special education setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Ability to differentiate instruction and modify curriculum based on student needs
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Collaborative approach with educators, parents, and service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for your caseload
- Adapt lessons and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Maintain accurate, ongoing records of student progress and communicate updates to families and teams
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and self-advocacy
- Collaborate regularly with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate positive outcomes
