This full-time position is tailored for a dedicated educator with a passion for empowering students with special needs. Working in a K-2 life skills, self-contained classroom, you will be at the heart of transformative education, developing individualized strategies to nurture young learners growth and independence.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (required)
- Experience working in a self-contained or life skills classroom preferred
- Skill in adapting lessons for diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
- Enthusiasm for travel assignments and working in new environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and support to K-2 students in a life skills, self-contained setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with families, specialists, and school staff
- Track student progress and adapt teaching approaches as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
