Multiple contract positions are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers to serve throughout the full school year. As a licensed Teacher of Record with a Mild to Moderate K-12 Indiana state license, youll provide direct instruction and individualized support, helping students access their fullest potential. With a 35-hour workweek and consistent assignment for the year, you'll play a vital role in fostering a positive, inclusive educational environment.
Key qualifications:
- Hold a valid Indiana state license: Mild to Moderate, K-12
- State credentials as a Teacher of Record for Special Education
- Experience or strong interest in working with students with a range of needs (Inclusion, Resource, Autism classrooms)
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, collaborative classroom community
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
General responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Modify curriculum and provide differentiated instruction to students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices
- Monitor student progress, conduct assessments, and document outcomes
- Engage with families and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
