Key Qualifications:

  • Possession of an active North Carolina Special Education Teaching License

  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Commitment to fostering inclusivity and positive learning outcomes

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage a classroom or caseload of K-12 students with diverse needs at a single school location
  • Plan and adapt lessons in accordance with students IEPs and educational goals
  • Provide direct instruction, intervention, and accommodations to ensure equitable access to curriculum
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal requirements
  • Engage in regular communication with families, support staff, and school administration
  • Contribute to team meetings and support a positive, inclusive school culture
