Job Description

This full-semester contract opportunity is designed for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support a diverse K-12 caseload. The position is onsite in Huntersville, NC, for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, requiring 37.5 hours per week. This role offers a meaningful chance to make a significant impact on students with special education needs through tailored instruction and individualized support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instructional programs aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Conduct assessments and maintain accurate student records and progress reports
  • Implement behavior intervention plans and support social-emotional development
  • Communicate regularly with families and school personnel to ensure student success

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid North Carolina Special Education teaching license required
  • Submission of transcripts is mandatory as part of the application process
  • Experience working with K-12 students across a diverse range of special education needs preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
