Requirements:
- Valid Colorado Special Education Teacher license (active and current)
- Experience working in school-based special education settings, ideally with elementary students
- Knowledge of center-based programming and strategies for diverse learners
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to uphold compliance and documentation standards for IEPs and educational plans
- Commitment to creating a supportive and structured classroom atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and specialized supports to elementary students in a center-based setting
- Develop, implement, and regularly review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Employ evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction to address a variety of needs
- Collaborate with general education staff, therapy providers, and families
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes in line with district and state regulations
- Foster skills in academics, behavior, and social-emotional learning to help each student thrive
