A Special Education Teacher certified in Cognitive Impairments is needed for a contract position in Hudsonville, MI. This role focuses on supporting Early Childhood through Kindergarten students with special needs, specifically within a cognitive impairments caseload. The position is structured with hours from 8 am to 4 pm, running initially from May 18th through June and then continuing from August to October.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to students with cognitive impairments.
- Manage a caseload of Early Childhood to Kindergarten students.
- Update and initial Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as required.
- Attend and participate in meetings related to student progress and educational planning.
- Collaborate as a lead teacher and case manager to ensure comprehensive student support.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Valid certification in Cognitive Impairments for Special Education.
- Experience working with young learners in Early Childhood through Kindergarten.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IEPs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for managing caseloads and attending meetings.
