Position Overview:
A district in the Howell, MI area is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support a self-contained Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classroom. This role focuses on providing structured, individualized instruction for elementary-aged students in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in a self-contained ASD classroom
- Support a small caseload of approximately 7 elementary students
- Develop and implement IEP goals and behavior support plans
- Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with SPED requirements
- Foster a structured and supportive classroom environment
Requirements:
- Active Special Education teaching license in Michigan
Additional Details:
- Immediate start available
- Single-site placement within the district
